Scott Hilinski joined the Scorpions in 2016 and will be serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the company. His duties will include overseeing and managing day to day operations, staff, players for both HS & Youth markets while continuing to help carry out and executing the vision and direction of CEO, Bob Rikeman.
Scott currently serves as a consultant with Insurance Office of America, Florida’s largest independent agency, specializing in the Employee Benefits arena. Scott began his career with IOA as a Benefits Service Specialist. It was here that he learned the industry, from a client perspective. He has since translated this experience into the successful consulting relationship that he now enjoys with his clients. Scott also takes an active role in the community. He is one of the founding members of Fore Charities, a non-profit organization designed to raise awareness and raise money for Central Florida charities. He also serves as the director of baseball operations and head baseball coach at Orangewood Christian HS. He enjoys passing his experience in baseball, business, and life to the players on the team, hoping to inspire them to grow and experience the professional and personal success that he himself has been blessed with.
Scott’s played HS baseball at Lake Mary HS under the legionary Allan Tuttle. He went on to play collegiately under Jeff Sikes at Warner University where he was named 1st Team All-American for the Royals in 2001. He still currently holds the single season record for Games (68), At Bats (249), Runs (92), Doubles (20), Total Bases (163), RBI’s (75) and Stolen Bases (53). Scott was selected by the Arizona Diamondback in the 23rd round of the 2001 amateur draft where he enjoyed playing middle infield professionally for 3 years.
Scott has a B.A. in Business Management from Warner University. He currently holds a 215 & 220 licenses as well as his Certified Health Care Reform Specialist designation.
