Rob Viera – Scorps 2021

The manager and head coach of  Manatee High School since 2014, Rob Viera is a former Hurricane player, volunteer assistant, and assistant coach. Viera graduated from MHS in 1991 and went on to play at St. Petersburg Junior College and Flagler College in St. Augustine. He attended a pro tryout for Pittsburgh and signed with the Pirates. The catcher spent two years in the Gulf Coast League with his home base at Pirate City. Viera reached Double A in the Cincinnati organization before blowing out his shoulder. He spent a year in the Atlantic League before retiring.

He departed the MHS Coaching staff to take the head coaching position at Saint Stephen’s for three seasons from 2009-11, going 40-27.
